Sounds of Norway
Hi, I am Synnøve from Norway, and I am very happy to be part of this fine group of quilters.
When I read the first topic: Sound, I thought of the sound waves, and went to my old Physics Book

I also noticed the "snail house", that captures the sound waves that come to the inner ear, the reason we can hear sound. It has a nice shape, and will perhaps be an OK shape in the quil

We have a traditional quilt block called "snail house" in Norwegian.

I am the only Norwegian in the group, so I thought of some "Norwegian" sounds. Scream by Edvard Munch, was my first choice.

Our most famous statue, The angry Boy by Gustav Vigeland. I can hear a great sound here:

Since I am thinking unpleasant Norwegian sounds now, I might include the screaming sea gulls, which are making noise all along our long coast.

These were some of my thoughts while trying to make the first quilt.
