Touch the Stars

I love texture and can often be seen running my hand over tactile surfaces, taking close up images or just admiring the intricate details in nature.
For this prompt I decided that, so many times, we are asked not to touch textile art when my hand, so now I would encourage the viewer.
First I made some fabric beads using (for the very observant of you), some fabric from my first Cloth in Common piece - Sound Waves

Then I added a selection of glass, metal and plastic beads.

I used a single piece of hand dyed fabric for the background collage.

Quilting was done in concentric circles and then the parallel lines to fill in the gaps
Bead patterns were auditioned

But the stars won out

So here is my quilt - Touch the Stars
