No Water

I live in Australia where most of the population lives around the edges. The majority of our continent is a desert where no one should live.

However, we need to eat and our farmers have to continually battle the elements including droughts that last for years. No food crops can grow without a regular supply of water so I want to focus on that in my latest quilt for Cloth In Common.

Our news is bombarded daily with stories and images of our current drought

I am hoping to create a quilt which is indicative of the current drought with perhaps a touch of hope as the drought breaks.
